This means that wards where older Welsh speakers predominate tend to be wards of approximately 25% to 65% density of Welsh speakers. Wards with relatively low densities of Welsh speakers (under 25%) show little difference in the proportions of younger and older people speaking Welsh. In wards where there is a relatively high density of Welsh speaker (65%+), the tendency is for younger speakers to be present in slightly larger proportions than older people.
