The Ministerial Decision refers to the Religious Ministry’s own decisions on Organisational Structure. In other words, the Compilation is a bureaucratic handbook. The Compilation itself consists of three books. Book I concerns Marriage Law (s 1–70); Book II relates to Inheritance (s 171–214); and Wakaf is the subject of Book III. The colonial legislation regulated these same three subjects. The provisions of the Compilation, however, are far more detailed. What follows is a discussion of some of the issues arising out of the Compilation.
